Background

Mayhem Musical Productions has evolved dramatically since it's establishment as local live band "Mayhem" in 1995. During this time guitarist Darren Starmer and sound engineer Rod Thorp decided to offer a DJ service as well as live music.

Whilst most of our early work was private parties, we soon found ourselves being asked to DJ corporate events, parties, weddings and Christmas functions. Whilst in the band, Darren and Rod forged a strong friendship, which remains the driving force behind Mayhem Musical Productions.

When the band split up in 1997, Mayhem Musical Productions underwent a major overhaul, with the focus shifting from live music to DJ and lighting services. Since this evolution, Mayhem Musical Productions has grown to be regarded highly as one of Perth's most dynamic and creative DJ and Lighting companies.
